Eyebrow waxing is the quick alternative to tweezing your eyebrows. It can be very painful if your have very sensitive skin and having them done professionally is often advised. If however you would like to do them yourself from home here are the steps you will need to follow.
1. Prepare Your Eyebrows First
The first thing that you will have to do is to brush your eyebrows so that you can clearly see their natural shape. Then get some witch hazel and apply it to the sensitive area underneath your eyebrows. This helps to anesthetize the skin.
2. Apply The Wax
Make sure that you have purchased a professional waxing kit. This should include a jar of wax that can be heated by placing it in boiling water. It should come with a spatula for applying it and removal strips.
Warm the wax and start by applying a thin layer to the growth you wish to remove. Make sure only to use a small amount and apply it in the same direction that your hair grows. DO NOT LET THE WAX DRY
3. Remove The Hair
This unfortunately is the hardest and most difficult part because of the pain. Gently smooth your removal strip over the waxed area and then pull the skin taut. Keep holding the skin taut and with the other hand pull off the removal strip.
4. The Finishing Touch
Once you have removed all the hair you can then tidy up any stray hairs using your tweezers. It is a very good idea to apply a soothing balm to help ease the pain and calm the skin. A very good one is tea tree oil.
Now that you have perfectly shaped eyebrows you can take the time to enjoy them.
