What women look for in men? – The opposite sex attraction is universal. Men seek women with whom they feel compatible and are physically attracted to. Women also look out for men to fulfill their emotional and social needs. Since Adam and Eve days, men and women have sought each other company for reasons of their own. The relationship between the two has survived from times immemorial. Only with changing times, the need for each other has been redefined and tailored according to social conveniences.
Men and women have different reasons to choose the company of each other, although in some situations their likes and dislikes are the same. Women over a period of time have changed their attitude towards men and accordingly related to them on a different plane as compared their earlier counterparts. The modern woman has now her own demands about how she would like to relate to a man. Her expectations have changed considerably as she is now economically and financially independent. Of course, the traditional approach towards men still persists. What are these expectations?
What Women Want from Men?
- Loyalty – Women expect loyalty in a relationship. In earlier days, women accepted their men’s wanderings, but now they put their foot down and accept total commitment from their partners. They do not like to share their man with another woman. This is one of the reasons why so many divorces are taking place.
- Physical attraction – A woman likes a man to look good or at least have sex appeal. She would like to associate with somebody that she is physically attracted to.
- Honesty – The relationship needs to be based on honesty. He is expected to be honest about his feelings for the woman and not hide anything from her. Hypocrisy is abhorred by women.
- Good grooming – The man needs to be presentable. He is expected to take good care of himself dressing up appropriately and looking neat and tidy.
- Financially sound – A woman would like her man to be financially sound. After all she would like him to pay the check at a restaurant. A woman likes to be showered by gifts. She would appreciate it if her man could afford to wine and dine her at a decent food joint.
- Successful career – A woman would like her man to be a success at his career. He is required to be well qualified or at least be able to make a decent living. A man struggling to meet both ends is not her cup of tea.
- Intelligence – A intelligent man is much appreciated by a woman. A man who is well- versed with daily affairs and is quick enough to handle a crisis is much appreciated. He should be decisive.
- Independent – Women like their man to be independent and not a mama’s boy. His life needs to be centered on her and not his mother.
- Emotionally strong – Women go in for physically and emotionally strong men. They want all the support they can get from their man. No doubt, they are also willing to extend emotional support to him as well, but they would like their man to care for them in their difficulties.
- Sense of humor – Women prefers a man with a good sense of humor. A man who is calm and takes life coolly and jovially, will be fun to be around with.
Women are quite choosy about the man they go around with. They would like to share their inner most thoughts and feelings with someone to whom they are emotionally and physically attracted to. The relationship needs to be based on mutual trust, love and concern for each other.
