This applies to Diabetes as well. A regular schedule of eating habits must be maintained. Instead of having 1 to 2 large meals, it is advisable to have 4 meals a day. This helps in having the right proportions and body gets its required energy.

- Whole Grains – One must have wheat bread, wheat rice and wheat pasta helps one decrease the carbohydrates in one’s diet.
- Omega-3 fatty acids – One can have cold-water fish that happens to be high in Omega-3 fatty acids in order to provide the body system with “good” fats.
- Sweets -Desserts which have too much sugar must be limited or completely eliminated from one’s diet.
- Carbohydrates – These are required for the body to produce energy. Since the body is not produce insulin, one must take less carbohydrates.
- Alcohol – Consumption of alcohol must be reduced.

- Chromium – This help the body to respond to insulin. It plays an important role in fat and carbohydrate metabolism. People suffering from Diabetes have low levels of chromium.
- Zinc – This helps in the storage and production of insulin. Zinc can be available in foods such as beef liver.
- Indian King – Helps in the regeneration of beta cells, split peas, egg yolk, pecans, lamb, ginger root, fresh oysters and buck wheat.
- Indian Gooseberry – It stimulates the pancreas, thus making it produces insulin.

i am now on the drug Januvia my blood sugar is perfect all thru the day but not in the mornings and is always over 140 never less! it says to take the drug at supper time but by that time my blood sugar is starting to rise! i would like to know when should i take this [pill! thanks dj
