A rather painful red nodule appears on one’s skin. The nodule grows bigger and pus is formed in it. Those suffering from it suffer from a lot of itching and irritation. The boil can appear in any part of one’s body. Sometimes it appears in areas which can cause much discomfort such as on one’s buttocks. One may find it very difficult to sit. Once the boil ripens then it bursts and there is discharge of pus. One can suffer from fever also. Home Remedies for boils come as handy when a person is suffering from the disease. If the problem is severe then one must visit a doctor immediately. Home remedy for boils is only recommended in mild cases and not the severe ones.
Home Remedies for Boils
Below are some of the top remedy for boils:
- Bitter Gourd is no doubt very effective. In order to treat the boils one has to take a cupful of bitter gourd juice that is fresh and must be mixed with 1 teaspoonful of lime juice. One must sip it slowly on a rather empty stomach.
- Boils can also be treated with milk cream. A very good poultice for curing boils is to apply a mixture of about a teaspoonful each of vinegar and milk with about a pinch of turmeric powder. This helps in ripening the boils and helps in healing them.
- One can apply some paste of cumin seeds for treating the boils. It is very effective home remedy for boils.
- Warm up a betel leaf till it softens up. Then apply a coating of castor oil. Spread it on the inflamed part. Then replace it every few hours. After sometime the boil ruptures and then the pus comes out.
- Margosa leaves are also effective in treating boils. They can be used as decoction, poultice, liniment. Boil about 15 gms of margosa leaves in about 500 ml of it comes down to about one-third. Margosa leaves is one of the best treatments for a lot of skin ailments.
- Boils can also be treated with turmeric powder as it speeds up the healing process. Roast a few roots of turmeric and dissolve in a cupful of ashes and later on apply it on the affected parts. The boil ripens and then bursts. Turmeric powder is considered as natural antibiotic and is used in lots of home remedies.
- Boil an egg and after peeling it then whet the white part and apply it on the boil. Cover the part with a cloth after that. The white of the egg helps the ripening process of the boil.
- One can also make use of turmeric. Have one teaspoonful of turmeric in warm water three times in a day and buy it in capsule form. One can also make a paste out of it and apply it on the boil every morning before going in for a bath.
- Castor oil – This is also very good. Apply some castor oil on the boil with help of a cotton ball.
- Epsom salt baths are also very good home remedy for boils..
- One can apply the juice of either garlic or onion which is again a herb used in the treatment of lots of common ailments..
- One can apply poultice of crushed fenugreek seeds which have been boiled in water for about 10 minutes to treat boil.
- Take equal amounts of honey and lemon juice that is fresh, cod liver, fresh orange juice and have three times in a day. This is an excellent tonic.
- Make paste of roasted as powdered pomegranate skin with fresh lime juice and then apply it on the boil.
Boils can be treated at home. Simple and effective home remedies for boils are very effective in curing the disease.
