Lets have look at some of the home remedies for stuffy nose. With every breath, you might be exposing your nasal membrane to various types of irritants and infectious substances. This could be anything like pollution, pollen, dust, cat dander etc. Nose infections are not limited to above reasons only but it may be any substance that is not suitable for sensitive nose. - Onion Smell -Smelling onion is an inexpensive way for getting rid of stuffy nose.
- Chili Remedy – Food rich in hot chili will make the nose runny, which will give fast relief from stuffy nose as it will clear the nose. This is not a very good cure for stuffy nose and you should try with caution. Do not take too much of chili
- Lemon juice and Water – Mix lemon juice in water and take a cup of it
- Salt water inhalation – Add some salt in a an of water. Let it boil and add some salt to it. Now breath in the vapor by putting a towel or sheet over you so that the steam is hot for longer duration of time. This method helps in easing off the stuffy nose instantly. Alternatively one could also take nasal saline spray which has very little side effects
- Spicy Foods – One could go for spicy foods which are considered as decongestants. In this regard go for Chinese or Indian foods which are very rich in spices. This would cause the congestion to ease and let the blocked things to flow off
- Water Therapy – Drinking 5-6 ltrs of water is good for stuffy nose. The blocked mucus would become thin and would flow off naturally. This therapy might take a bit longer but is a sure shot way to get rid of the problem
- Running – Running or doing exercises like climbing stairs can help in clearing up the nose by changing the pressure in the body
- Clear single nose – Yo can clear a nose by lying on one side for some time. If you lsleep on your left side, your right nose will get unblocked. You could do this alternatively to get some relief and breath easily
- Blowing Nose – No, blowing nose is not a solution of getting rid of the problem. The more you blow your nose, more will be the irritation
Mentioned above are some of the sure shot Home remedies for stuffy nose. Some will work faster and some might take some time. Salt water inhalation is one of the best remedy for stuffy nose so try it before trying anything else. This remedies might not give you relief instantly so you have to have a bit patience.

Saline nasal spray works really good!

fine mist nasal spray, starts working in about 3-4 minutes, it clears me up all the way, its the best working thing i’ve ever used, i can almost promise it will clear you up!
