One of the recent alarming survey reveals that men who shave regularly are far more likely to have sex than all those men who don’t. Shaving like a daily routine that millions of men round the world follow unless and until you don’t have beard. As far as shaving is concerned you need to be very careful and conscious. A slight mistake can cause your face to bleed. Plus putting razor in your face, which is the most sensitive areas in your body, is also risky.
You may have to suffer from various skin reactions, infections and unexpected diseases. You might get a flaky skin, burns or rashes. Enough of scaring! Now we will go through some of the important tips and tricks that you need to follow before you reach out to your razor for shave.
- Don’t choose to shave as the very first thing in the morning. Give some time to your skin while you finish your other initials like bathrooms and brushing teeth. Once the fluids from your skin are washed away you can star to shave to get that close shave you want.
- Exfoliate your facial skin using a skin cleanser or a scrub to remove the dead skin cells and open up the pores of the skin. You are now ready for a close shave.
- Use hot water to soften the hairs and open the pores of your facial skin. This will swell the hair shaft that makes you easier to shave as you cut the hair, not the skin.
- Always take a wet stubble and use only a vitamin and Aloe Vera based shaving cream that will provide a close soothing shave protecting you against razor rashes and burns.
- It is always safe to use new and sharp blades. An old one can cause many bruises and cuts, which can furthur, lead to infections and other skin problems.
- Shave off slowly and gently. Giving a mild pressure will result in a closer shave but pressing it hard can damage your skin.
- Always shave in the direction of the hair on your face. Shaving against the grain or growth of hairs may lead to rashes, razor burn and ingrown hairs, which are painful.
- Make it a habit to use and antiseptic after shaving your face. Apply an oil-free moisturizer that can soothe and protect your face. If you prefer an after-shave, check the label for alcohol, as too much alcohol is not very good.
- Avoid all such shaving creams that cause lot of foaming. These shaving creams have Sodium Laurel Sulfate, which are formulated to “foam up”. This can be a potential cause of skin irritations.
