Before you begin to take special care of your skin you need to identify your skin type: oily, dry, normal or mixed. An oily skin secretes lots of oil. Dry skin lacks moisture and remains dry and prone to wrinkles. Normal is somewhere between dry and oily. That is neither too dry nor too oily.
For a good and healthy skin you need to take proper care of your skin. Eat a correctly balanced diet. Drink lots of water, which keeps your skin to excrete out waste materials from your body. Supply enough source of nourishment to your skin according to the skin type. Like a dry skin needs more and more of moisturizers whereas, an oily skin requires to be cleaned regularly with mild soaps. Even though you have got a normal skin you need to be aware of several harmful effects from your surroundings. Like, do not expose yourself to the harmful rays of sun for long durations. Use sun scream lotion to protect your skin from the harmful ultra violet rays of the sun. At the same time you need to let your skin under the direct sun sometimes for shorter durations, which helps in curing many skin diseases.
You are advised to use sun scrubs specially if you have oily skin because that throws out the old cells and tissues from your skin. Indulge yourself in physical activities like exercising, sports or any hiking and trekking activities. Try to keep as regular as possible. Use skin creams to keep you skin in well toned conditions. Include fruits and fruit juice especially in your diet. Take enough amount of vitamins and minerals like vitamin C. Trust on reputed names and stick to a products that suits you best.
