Wrinkles are unavoidable and as you age, your skin will have more and more of these but with a homemade wrinkle reducer, you can put these off for some time. If you are familiar with them yourself, you may also know how undesirable they really are, and how you will do almost anything to make sure that you get rid of them as soon as possible. There is a large market for cosmetic preparations that help in removing wrinkles. However, these anti-wrinkle and anti-aging creams don’t always give you what you want. Instead, if you try out homemade wrinkle remedies, you can save yourself some money and prevent side effects as well. Here are some of the best remedies to reduce wrinkles.
Homemade Apple Wrinkle Reducer
Seed an apple and blend it to puree the flesh. Use this puree on your face and neck every day to reduce the appearance of fine lines. Areas which are heavily covered with wrinkles should be given special attention. Apples contain a compound known as alpha hydroxy acid and applying a thick layer of the puree every night before you go to sleep, can help you deal with wrinkles on your face and neck. Alpha hydroxyl acid can help rebuild collagen so that aging is reduced and the skin remains elastic for a longer time.
Remedy with Honey
Another wrinkle reducer is honey. Honey is a great moisturizing agent, that helps hydrate your skin cells deeply. Mix together honey and orange juice to a pasty consistency. To give this a bleaching effect, you can add some lemon juice in it as well. Use this on your face every night, 20 minutes before you go to sleep, and then remove it with lukewarm water. This remedy is ideal for those whose skin has suffered from over exposure to the weather.
You can tighten your skin cells and reduce wrinkles by making a potato mask. Shred the potatoes into small slivers and add some rosewater to it. Mash it up as much as you can, trying to make a paste out of it. Apply the mash on your face and neck, along with your forehead. You may feel a slight tingling in your skin after the application of the mask. Keep the mask on for at least 20 minutes before washing it off.
Hydration with Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is not only great for your hair, but excellent for your skin as well. Using coconut oil can help you stop hydration before it has begun. Warm up some coconut oil and rub it gently on to your face and neck. This is a great remedy for men and women who have deep set wrinkles.
Cold Cream With Banana
Get yourself a batch of plain unscented cold cream, mash a banana and mix it with the cream. The resulting mixture contains a lot of antioxidants and is perfect for restoring the elastin and collagen in your face. This banana cold cream mixture is an ideal homemade wrinkle remover.
Smash a whole banana and place it into a cup of cold cream. Apply this mixture to your face and wash it off after 20 minutes. Close your pores after the cold cream has been washed away by rubbing an ice cube over your face.
Apply lemon juice with a cotton swab to your face every night before bed. The acids in the lemon juice will help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
