Preventions of Heart Attacks is the stitch in time that saves nine. Heart attack is the sudden death of the heart muscle. If a large number of heart muscle die, the ability of the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body diminishes. This results in heart failure. It has been proved that prevention is better than cure especially in heart diseases.

Factors that trigger heart attacks include cholesterol, blood pressure, tobacco, diabetes, gender and family history. The last two are genetically determined and none can do anything. Green leafy vegetables, whole grains, fish, cheese etc., are sources of minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, selenium, and vanadium. They help in muscle development, electrolyte balance and cholesterol management.
