Bikini waxing is the process of removing the hair in and around pubic area. It has been a popular hair removal technique for women. It prevents the pubic hair from being visible form the edges of the bikini. This technique also involves removal of hair from all the areas covered by the bikini. Off Late, their are reports that this technique is catching up in metro sexual males as well. They are spending up to $100 dollars to undergo this technique of waxing. This article tries to understand how this technique will be beneficial in males.

Bikini Waxing in Males:
- The pubic hair is thicker and coarse
- To remove such hair, a special type of wax called bee wax is used
- It is a natural wax produced in the bee hives of the honey bees is mixed with a substance called tall oil
- It is a sticky oil, yellow and black in color, obtained from wood pulp
- This mixture is applied on the hair and small strips of cloth are used to cover them
- The wax allowed to harden for a while. When the cloth is pulled off, it removes the hair from its roots
- The process involves discomfort or pain which lasts for nearly a week
- Cyclists, swimmers, models and bodybuilders, who undergo this technique often, prefer using some anesthetics to reduce the pain
Prevention to follow while Bikini waxing:
- The area surrounding the genitals is the most sensitive region in a Male’s body
- Special attention should be paid while this technique of hair removal is followed to avoid irritation
- Wax can cause allergy to some people. A check up technique called the patch test before the process will be beneficial
- It is advisable to first trim or cut the hair before undergoing this process
- The process should be done twice or thrice in a year only
- The hair do not grow in the waxed region for 3 to 8 weeks
- The growth rate of hair and its strength decreases over the time
- This allows less trials of this technique
- Though home waxing kits are available, the process should always be performed by a licensed cosmetologist
- People who are sensitive to infection, suffer from poor circulation, diabetes and varicose veins should not try this technique
