The intake of dietary supplements to improve the condition of one’s health is not a bad idea as such. Youngsters planning to take one or two dietary supplements to improve their health should consult the doctor before taking such supplements regularly. Usually, school students will be influenced by their friends going to the gym and soon they land up in another gym center to learn how to build their muscles. They then heed to the advise of their friends in using various supplements to improve their muscle strength even without knowing as to why do dietary supplements work. The general food intake should contain items with less fat besides fruits and vegetables in different shades of colors ranging from red to green.

If the individuals take balanced diet, then there is no need for taking food supplements. However, dependence on fast food has really changed the food habits in many households across the US. Failure to maintain all types of vitamins in the food is resulting in deficiencies and there is a clamor for miracle energy boosters. The remote question is as to why do dietary supplements work as claimed by several of the companies selling such products in the market. Since there is no federal agency to verify the claims, these products are largely sold on demand from individuals. The lack of time to build muscles or other strengths in a natural way is cited as reason behind individuals taking them without looking into why do dietary supplements work and not other methods.
