Food is the most important ingredient for human body next to air and water. We need food to live and it supplies us with energy to do day-to-day work. It also provides raw material for cells. The food we eat are broken down by our digestive system and transferred to the body through circulatory system.
The digestive system breaks down the food we eat to glucose, amino acids etc. Our body easily absorbs these broken down foods. The digestive tract starts from mouth and ends up till anus.
