  1. Dry ginger powder (10 gms) and castor oil (15 ml) mixed together gives relief if taken internally.
  2. Garlic (2 cloves) til oil (30 ml) taking internally give relief. The same oil boiled with garlic could be applied to the pain area.
  3. Heated papaya with castor oil could be applied on the affected areas.
  4. Mustard oil with onion juice could also be applied to the affected area.
  5. Sea bathing is helpful in rheumatoid arthritis. Natural ioding in sea water is believed to give relief in arthritis pain.
  6. Warm coconut oil/mustard oil mixed with canphor could be massaged on stiff or aching joints for relief from pain. This increases blood supply and reduces inflammation and stiffness.
  7. Lime is also helpful in this as citric acid is primary ingredient in lime which acts as solvent of uric acid - the primary cause of arthritis.
  8. Maintaining proper body weight is very essential in case of arthritis patients as obesity puts excess stress on weight bearing joints.
  9. Patient should be kept in warm place.
