  4. Do not eat or drink anything once you are bitten by snake.
  5. Black cohosh syrup relieves pain. Take about ½ to 1 tablespoonful of this syrup 3 times in day.
  6. Poultices of slippery elm, comfrey or white bark leaves. One can also use plantain poultice, comfrey salve or perhaps plantain salve can be made use of.
  7. Echinacea can be taken in tea form or as a capsule as it helps in boosting the immune system.

  6. Avoid playing or picking up a snake unless you are trained well in doing so.
  7. Most bites occur between sunrise and sunset. They are mostly like to be basking in the warm sun.
  8. Avoid liquid intake as the body supplies fluid to the bite area.
  9. Tap with a walking stick so that snakes can move out of the way.
  10. Keep away from tall grass unless you are wearing thickly made leather boots.
  11. Be extra cautious while climbing rocks.
