Winter skin care, skin care in winter

Winter skin care: We love winter season. It provides much needed relief after a sultry summer. We become more active and start hanging out all those favorite haunts, which had been hitherto abandoned due to unbearable heat. Winter is capable of stealing the moisture of skin. Lets have a look at some of the home remedies for skin care in winter:
  1. Drink plenty of water. We generally reduce the intake of water during winter. Outdoor activities can quickly dehydrate the body water, so drinking 6-8 glasses of water is recommended.
  2. Moisture your skin thoroughly. Use plenty of it to seal the natural moisturizers of your skin. Petroleum jelly is ideal for this purpose.
  3. Wear sunscreen on exposed skin, especially when in snow, on ice or at high altitudes to protect yourself from UV rays.
  4. Moisturize your lips constantly with a lip balm or butter. Dry lips turns nasty in winter by cracking and bleeding.
  5. Wear sunglasses to prevent yourself from glare of sun off snow which causes UV threat to eyes. Choose sunglasses, which block 100% UV rays.
  6. Warm bath can be relaxing during winters but hot water strips your skin with natural oils and can be extremely to the skin. Limit the number of hot baths.
  7. Do not wear woolen sweaters on your bare skin as they suck the moisture out of your skin.
